From the start of 2021, Kingston Joinery have seen continued growth, developing strong relationships with both key suppliers and new clients, despite the events of the global pandemic.
Although they missed out on hitting the turnover target £10m last year, they are full steam ahead to not only hit the target but, to successfully pass it.
Sarah Rawlings, Supply Chain Manager said “Every area of the business has been developed and, the team have shown their passion for its success, working on a ‘full steam ahead’ approach. There has been a conscious effort to improve existing relationships with our supply chain partners and, welcoming new important customers.”
Kingston Joinery were awarded a three-million-pound contract earlier this year on the Wood Wharf development in Canary Wharf with their new partner, Caledonian Modular.
Works are due to start at the Caledonian Modular factory based in Newark this month, which will see Kingston Joinery’s operatives working in a factory environment completing the joinery fit-out and installation of bespoke furniture into these high-end modular bays.
The completed bays will then be installed into the development in Canary Wharf which consists of 17 floors of high quality volumetric modular serviced apartments over a retail/amenity space in the lower podium levels.
This is a promising start to a collaborative relationship between the two businesses, Kingston Joinery’s Managing Director, Craig O’Leary said “We started with big hopes for the year and are pleased that our successful reputation has seen us awarded with this contract from Caledonian Modular. Reputation goes a long way in our industry, and just as we have been recognised for ours, we are aware that Caledonian Modular’s reputation goes before them as the market leaders in modular construction. This is a relationship we are keen to develop and are pleased to welcome the new partnership.”
