Scope of Project

Hull New Theatre

This was a project of huge significance to the city of Hull during its year as UK City of Culture Kingston Joinery were delighted to be contracted by developers Esteem, which is led by Hull-based construction company Sewell Group.

Kingston Joinery’s teams were amongst the first on site in the early days of the building project to carry out initial enabling works. As the development progressed, our teams were further involved with the internal fit-out including the installation of new doorsets, bespoke joinery, skirting’s & architraves and timber floors.

Managing Director Craig O’Leary said: “We were very proud to work on the redevelopment of Hull New Theatre as it was a key development for the city of Hull and one which has resulted in a first-class facility, hopefully helping attract major shows and artists. It was also very pleasing to be selected to work on site for a successful local company in the Sewell Group, with one of the main contractors from the area recognising the contribution and quality of businesses on their doorstep and ensuring that the huge investment remained within the local economy.”
