Kingston Joinery installed 2,000 square metres of windows as part of the first phase of the award-winning £1bn North West Cambridge development. Teams from Kingston Joinery installed Idealcombi composite windows on the residential element of the development, working for contractors Bam Construct on a contract worth £1.4m.
Our teams joined around 1,000 other workers on site with other contractors including Wates Construction and Willmott Dixon overseeing various parts of development at the new district. Managing director Craig O’Leary said: “It was wonderful for Kingston Joinery to be part of this fantastic project and it is another example of our teams being entrusted to work on one of the country’s biggest developments.
“Our teams faced many challenges on this job, both logistically given the scale of building work happening on site and in terms of the need to use specialist glazing lifting equipment to reach higher levels. There were also some intricate detailing and feature panels around windows. “This was another example of our teams contributing to first class, award-winning development.”
